Tomato Seeds or its plants are easy to grow and remarkably productive. Tomatoes are long-season, heat-loving plants that won’t tolerate frost, so it’s best to set them into the garden as transplants (young plants) after the weather has warmed up in spring.

Tomato can be grown on a wide range of soils from sandy to heavy clay. However, well-drained, sandy or red loam soils rich in organic matter with a pH range of 6.0-7.0 are considered as ideal. Climate. Tomato is a warm season crop. The best fruit colour and quality is obtained at a temperature range of 21-24°C.

Tomato grows very well on a wide range of soils, but it grows particularly well on deep, well-drained soils with good drainage ability. Sandy loam, red soils and medium black soils are considered most suitable for tomato cultivation. For good yield, the pH of soil must be at 7-8.5.
